For energy self-consumption to support its production activities, Comazoo, a company based in Montichiari, in the province of Brescia, chose to install a 500 kW system on four different sheet metal roofs. Our products played a leading role: PV Magazine Italia interviewed our President and CEO, Michele Torri.
Comazoo, a company that produces 2,500,000 quintals of animal feed every year, has chosen to install a photovoltaic system for total self-consumption to power its energy-intensive headquarters in Montichiari, in the province of Brescia.
Torri Solare Artigiani del fotovoltaico was involved in the construction of the approximately 500 kW plant, connected to two substations and distributed across four different roofs, all made of sheet metal. “One of these two substations has been modernized with the replacement of transformers and new-generation switchboards,” explained Michele Torri, President and CEO of Torri Solare, to pv magazine Italia.
The photovoltaic panels, considered the company’s strong point, have 4mm thick glass and are tested by the company’s internal Research and Development department, together with the University of Brescia, using rigorous tests that go well beyond European standards. This feature allows for greater resistance to hail and snow loads.

Which products were chosen?
“Torri Solare products were used for the installation: Half Cell 430 panels and Aura series inverters, which are part of the new Torri Solare brand product series,” explains the manufacturer. “To date, the photovoltaic installation has been completed and all work will be finished by the end of February 2024.”
