Torri Solare is racing ahead in the technological evolution of the photovoltaic sector. The Mille Miglia Museum was the perfect choice to present the new patented X-CORE² technology to 150 installers who are partners of the Brescia-based company led by Michele Torri.
The technology “by Torri Solare” is protected by patent applications for industrial invention, design, and three-dimensional trademark.
Features. In developing X-CORE², Torri Solare focused on robustness. A crucial aspect of photovoltaic panels is the structural fragility of most modules currently on the market.
The critical issue. According to data from Clean Energy Associates (CEA, 2024), 76% of the systems inspected show complex breaks in the silicon cells: defects that are invisible to the naked eye but capable of generating hotspots, drops in performance and, over time, fire risks. The main cause of micro-fractures is foot traffic during installation and maintenance, when the load on the module can exceed the panel’s resistance limits. These critical issues compromise the safety of the systems and, consequently, the real profitability of investments made by families and businesses.
The solution. Torri Solare has developed X-CORE² technology, currently the only solution that exploits the “slab effect” of the panel thanks to a special profile with a polymer insert. The results are extraordinary: more than 75% less concentrated load and a 5-fold improvement in load redistribution. Assuming an installer weighing 90 kg on one foot applies a maximum load of 1.13 kg/cm², thanks to X-CORE² the maximum load is 0.255 kg/cm². Stronger panels, therefore, for greater durability and fewer problems due to damage to the silicon cells. This translates into the “Unique” warranty: 10-year coverage for damage caused by foot traffic during installation, 10 years for damage caused by hail, and 10 years for replacement costs.
Overwhelming success: 2.5 megawatts placed in pre-sale
Torri’s challenge continues to stand out for its consistency and industrial vision in the photovoltaic sector. With the new X-CORE² technology, the Brescia-based company introduces a breakthrough that focuses on the safety and structural robustness of photovoltaic modules, going in the opposite direction to the standardization that dominates the market.
“With X-CORE²,” explains Michele Torri, founder and CEO of the company, “we focused on structural strength, developing a patented frame that makes the module walkable and capable of withstanding heavy loads without compromising the integrity of the silicon.”
Torri had already redefined resistance standards with Prisma 4.0 technology: panels eight times more resistant to hail, three times more resistant to accidental impacts, and capable of withstanding up to 750 kg/m² of snow load.
X-CORE² takes another step forward, bringing fire safety to a level never before achieved, also in relation to the new fire safety regulations.
The new module was previewed at the Mille Miglia Museum in Brescia, receiving immediate feedback from the sales network. “The feedback from our partners has been extraordinary,” Torri emphasizes. “In just a few days, we have collected pre-sales of 2.5 megawatts for a product that will be delivered starting in February 2026.”
Torri Solare’s approach remains the same as that which has marked the company’s history: producing high-end photovoltaic modules in Italy, with a unique construction model designed to last over time and guarantee real safety and protected investments. Today, Torri Solare has recorded an 85% growth in turnover, distributed evenly between the residential and industrial segments, confirming its position as one of Italy’s most dynamic companies in the field of high-quality photovoltaics.
